March Savings!!

Another month down, and another month of savings to share!  I'm so excited for this month!  We had some phenomenal savings!  Here we go.....

BAM!!  How awesome is that for savings?!?!  I am lovin it!  We did do some clothes shopping at both Kohl's and The Men's Warehouse for Josh and I, which helped contribute to our huge savings for the month.  Even if we remove those savings from the total, we still saved $852.85.  That means that every month this year we have saved over $800 so far.  That is so awesome, and I can totally live with that!  We also saved $27.98 in free kindle books that isn't in the totals.  I can't wait to see what I save in April!

February Savings!!

Ok, I know I'm a bit late on this one, but we have been super busy around here lately.  This month's number is another good number, just like last month!

How fabulous is that?!  Again, I left out some things form this number.  $8.98 I saved on FREE kindle books, plus the $210 I saved on my Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3!

I am so excited about March!  We have already saved over $700 thanks to savings on clothes and suit shopping for the Hubster and I.  March is going to be a rocking month!

January Savings!!

It's the start of another month, which means it's time to share my savings for January!  I can't believe it's already February, last month just flew right by!  I am excited to share my savings!  Here we go, in January I saved....

How awesome is that?!?!  I am super excited!  I love sitting down each month at the end of the month and adding up my savings! Even tho I know sometimes I get some smoking deals, and other times, not so much, it's nice to sit down and add it up and actually see how much I am saving.  This total does NOT include the $39.42 I saved by getting 5 kindle books for free.  It also does not include the $68 check we got from Costco.  We had an executive membership and earned back 2% of what we spent last year.  We are not renewing our membership, so we just spent the check at Costco on our last trip there.  We also got a $50 certificate from Best Buy as a reward for buying our TV from them in November.My husband used it to buy a cover for his kindle touch and to buy a movie.  We also did not include that $50 in the above total.  If we had also included those, our savings would have been $981.59.

I am taking part in the 150+ book challenge hosted by myoverstuffedbookshelf.com.

DETAILS/RULES:

1. The goal is to read 150 or more books. Anyone can join. You don't need a blog to participate. Posting on GoodReads or wherever you post your reviews is good enough.

December Savings!!

Well, it's a new year, and December is done, so it is time for me to share my December savings!  I am quite happy with the savings, especially since I was out of town for 13 days for Christmas!  *drum roll*

December's savings were:

$453.25!!

Heck yeah!!  That is awesome savings!  We have a 10 month supply of laundry detergent and mutli vitamins for both Josh and I that I bought in December.  My stock piles are looking beautiful, and there are several items that unless it is a smoking hot deal (or free) I have no need to buy them until the end of the year.

For me, I really think it is worth the time and effort it takes to do coupons.  That is free money in your pocket that can now be used for something else.  This month is 1 year since I started to coupon.  I am so happy I started and stuck with it.  The way I shop has evolved over the last year and I shop in a completely different way then I did a year ago.  My coupon savings have just gotten better as I changed the way I shop and I can't ever imagine shopping without coupons again.

I can't wait to see what kind of savings coupons will bring to me in 2012!  My plan is to continue to keep track of my savings each month in 2012, then at the end of 2012 do a post that has my total savings for the entire year.
