Fun in the Sun in San Diego!!

I am so excited!  We are spending our family vacation in San Diego this year!  I use to live in San Diego many years ago...in fact, my daughter Jaidan was born at Balboa Medical Center.  For years she use to tell people she was born at the zoo LOL, since they are both located in Balboa Park.

We are heading out Sunday morning, and then coming back home Friday afternoon at some point.  Today marks 8 years since my husband and I started dating.  Our first date was at Joe's Crab Shack in Pacific Beach, and then watching the sunset over the ocean.  So this Sunday, when we first get to San Diego we are going to take the kids and eat dinner at Joe's Crab Shack <3.

We are going to take the kids to Legoland, Seaworld, and The Wild Animal Park...well, I guess now they call it the Safari park.  We have never been to Legoland, but it is someplace I have always wanted to take the kids, so I am excited to go there.  You just can't go to San Diego and not go to SeaWorld, it's one of my absolutely favorite places to visit.  My Mother's day present is being able to do the Dolphin Interaction that they have!  I am so excited to get in the water with the dolphins, it is a bucket list item for me!!!  For my hubby, for Father's day, he get's to do the Penguin Encounter, Penguin's are his second favorite animal, behind Otter's.  The last time I did the Wild Animal park, my 10 year old daughter was only a few months old, so we are heading back there to check it out again.  As much as I love the Zoo, we are skipping it (it's my favorite zoo ever!!).  I swear I went there 3 times the month before I left San Diego LOL.  We took the older kids there when we first moved back to California 3 years ago, so we decided to skip it this time, so we could do things we haven't done or they don't remember doing.

We'll also be hitting up the 2 hour harbor cruise.  The first hour will take us down by 32nd street Naval Base.  My older 2 kids dad, and I were both stationed there, so I thought it would be nice for them to see the ships.  The second hour goes up by Point Loma Sub Base, which is also where I was stationed.  Hoping they get to see a sub....even better if the ARCO has a sub in Drydock!!  the ARCO is where I spent my last 2 years in San Diego.  I am excited to grab some Carne Asada Fries from Santana's over in point Loma...best Carne Asada Fries EVER!!! LOL

We'll also hit up Mission Beach and spend some time in balboa Park.  We're going to go to Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, and the Botanical Gardens too.  there is just so much to see and do at balboa park.  I'm also going to show the kids around and show them where we use to live.

I am so excited to be going back to San Diego even if it's only for a few days.  It was my favorite place to live, and if it wasn't for cost of living, that is where I would love to live.

Are you going anywhere special on vacation this summer?

Just4U!!

Ok folks...if you live in an area that has a Vons, you HAVE to join their JUST4U program!!  This program is seriously phenomenal!

There are several aspects to this program, one being the paperless coupons you can just add to your Vons card, that will automatically be used at check out if you buy the item.  This is really great...but they do NOT double your electronic coupons...so if you have a paper one, I wouldn't load the electronic one to your card.

But the best part of their program is their personalized deals!!!  These are deals they give to just you, that are lower then even the sale prices!!  Some of the deals only I have gotten, and some of the deals I have seen everyone get, but they are still great!

Let me share with you the personalized deals I loaded to my card this week!  $3 in FREE produce from the produce department!!! I can get this deal once a day from them until the 15th!!!  I also got Country Crock spread for $2.88...when I use my $1 off coupon, that makes it $1.88!! I am buying 2 for the freezer!  I also got Lucerne Sour Cream for $1.08 for 16ozs, you can't even buy generic sour cream for that price!  Then in the coupon section, they also had a few Just4U prices...I am getting bananas for $.39 a lb!!

Some of my past deals...the last 2 weeks I have also had the deal for $3 in FREE produce!!  So, in the last 2 weeks I have paid around $.60 for 4 ears of corn, 2 lbs of carrots, 4.5 lbs of granny smith apples, 2.5 lbs of bananas, and about 1 lb of roma tomatoes!  They gave me Lucerne 2% milk for $2.60 and whole milk for $2.70...I had $.55 coupons that doubled to $1 off, giving me gallons of milk for $1.60 and $1.70!!  they have also given me a free 12oz sun drop and a free starbucks refreshes too.

I seriously suggest you check out and sign up for the Vons Just4U program if you haven't already!!  They give you a dozen free eggs when you sign up too!  Just go to www.vons.com and register, it's that easy!  then every Weds check out the new deals and load up your card!  Most deals run weds-tues, just like their weekly ads!

Fuzzibunz Affiliate!!

I am now a very proud affiliate for Fuzzibunz cloth diapers!!  We absolutely love our Fuzzibunz diapers.  We have been cloth diapering for over a year now, and even a year later Fuzzibunz makes up the majority of our diaper stash.

I love that their diapers have an adjustable elastic band in the leg and waist!  We have had to adjust the elastic a few times over the last year as my daughter has grown, but it helps to guarantee that the one size diapers continues to be a perfect fit for my daughter.

If you use my link then you go to purchase Fuzzibunz diapers I can earn 10% for each diaper you buy!  If you're interested, you can even sign up to be an affiliate yourself!  Just follow my link!

Stamp Out Hunger!!!

This Saturday, May 12th, 2012 is the Untied States Post Offices annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive!  This is their 20th year of doing this food drive.  It is nation wide, and so easy for anyone in America to participate!  All you have to do is take non-perishable foods, put them in a bag, and stick the bag out by your mailbox for your mail man (or woman!) to pick up!  It's THAT easy!  Your local post offices will deliver the food to a local shelter.

Did you know, that according to the Feeding American annual report 2011, that 5.7 million people are fed by The Feeding America Network a WEEK?!

I'm asking all my friends to make a donation this Saturday to help Stamp Out Hunger.  Go in your pantry's and cupboards, find ONE can and put it in a bag by your mailbox this Saturday.  If 10 of you do this, that's 10 cans of food, 20 of you is 20 cans of food, it all adds up!  Personally I will be donating a bag or 2 of food, thanks to my coupon usage.

This is what they consider to be non-pershiable foods from their website at www.helpstampouthunger.com .

Donate items like canned meats, fish, soup, bottled juice, vegetables, pasta, cereal and rice that do not require refrigeration. Please do not include items that have expired or are in glass containers.

Will you help to stamp out hunger?
